TNC Pro Team will be among the nine teams competing in the LAN Minor at the “Las Vegas of Asia”.
In their first outing for the DPC in a LAN event, TNC Pro Team will be going against eight of the top Dota2 teams in the world. Among the participants are the directly invited Virtus.pro, LGD Gaming and EHOME. Going in through the qualifiers are LGD.FY, VGJ.Storm, Infamous, OG and Natus Vincere.
Of the nine competing teams, TNC, EHOME, VG.J, Infamous and OG will be aiming to earn their first Qualifying Points of the season. Meanwhile, the leaderboard for these teams is led by VP, currently standing at 3rd in total with 2295 QP. Na `Vi sits in a precarious spot at the eighth position at 225 QP, with LGD and LFY sitting close by with 202.5 and 135 QP, respectively.
MDL Macau will also see the return of Artstyle to competitive play. Artstyle’s last professional game was still with Na `Vi, back at TI6, before he officially retired from playing esports. However, due to Solo’s decision to sit the remainder of the year to rest, Artstyle had to step in and play on Solo’s behalf for all of VP’s matches this December. After MDL Macau, VP will also participate to the last Minor of the year, DOTA Summit 8.
There will also be some changes for VGJ.Storm’s lineup. After Ritsu’s departure from the team, it was announced through the team’s Twitter account that it would be kpii standing-in as carry for at least MDL Macau.
Finally, we will see TNC’s first LAN event of the season. After successfully winning a spot in the SEA Qualifiers of the event, besting Mineski, TNC will be aiming to start their winning spree here in Macau.
A total of 300 Qualifying Points will be at stake in MDL Macau, and the prize pool stands at $300,000 (~Php 15,000,000).
